A return to home base, Portland, OR, was in order to rummage through our storage facility to find some needed documents.
Thanks to Joy & Ralph, we found the papers which were nicely stored in a couple of file cabinets....waaaayy in the back... on opposite ends!!!
Thank goodness for such nice friends... especially since we found out that we needed these papers on separate days.. so we had to rummage through our storage facility twice...aiiih.....!!! Thanks to Joy & Ralph's hospitality, we gorged ourselves on their home grown raspberries and harvested their leafy greens & herbs.... Many mahalos to Joy & Ralph!!!

Next, we went south eastwards towards Idaho via Sisters, Bend and Vale.... Many mahalos to Erin, our virtual tour guide director, as she gave us all these tips regarding where the best eats & 'must do/see' items are in this area.... and yes.... we would not have had such a beautiful trip along the Olympic Peninsula if we didn't follow Erin's and JP's recommendations... ;-)
At Sisters we saw the tail end of the rodeo festivities - Allan had to have his spicy apple turkey sausage. In Bend we had a fantastic breakfast at Chow and stuck our toes in the Dechutes River (a must do - orders from Erin) at Riverbend Park and in Vale we found the best little hidden reservoir called Bully Creek Reservoir.
